SUMMARY:GHCA May Day - May 1st Starting at 10:00AM
DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Historic District will be celebrating their 68th Annual May Day celebration by putting baskets of fresh-cut flowers in front of their homes and businesses by 10:00 a.m. on Monday\, May 1st. GHCA would also like to encourage our community members to share their own GHCA May Day spirit by creating their own floral displays. In the past\, even the kids have gotten involved in making their own displays to add to the fun. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate spring and beautify our community! Here are some details: \nBring in Spring by displaying a beautiful basket of fresh flowers on your front door or doorstep for all your neighbors to enjoy!\n\nParticipation Guidelines:\n\n• All flower basket (any size) entries must be displayed on your front door or doorstep by Monday\, May 1st by 10am. The judges will tour the Homewood/Germantown neighborhood rain or shine.\n• Children under 12 can enter their own baskets.\n• A note card with name\, address\, and contact information must be attached to the basket. If entering for a child\, please specify age on card.\n• 1st and 2nd place winners will be chosen in the ADULT category. All Children entries will be considered winners!\nPictures of all baskets will be posted on the Germantown Homewood FB Page; names of all participants will be in the next Newsletter.\nPlease PM me your address or email to Stuart Rice srice429@gmail.com up until 8:00AM on Monday\, May 1st\, participating addresses will be posted on the GHCA Facebook page on Monday by 9:00AM.\n\n• If you’d like to be a judge\, please respond here or email Stuart Rice at srice429@gmail.com\n\nThis is a FAVORITE GH tradition that grows in participation each year… join in the fun!\n

This popular event is a chance for neighbors to enjoy a night out with food and drinks. The party will include beer and wine by Pinkey’s and Mexican-style food! What a great way to enjoy Cinco de Mayo! \n\nYour ticket to this 21+ event. Individual tickets are $50\, if purchased before April 21st* or $55 after April 21st\, if tickets are still available. \nDo you own a business and would like to be an event sponsor?  GHCA is also looking for sponsors to support the cost of the event!
