DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Historic District will be celebrating their 67th Annual May Day celebration by putting baskets of fresh-cut flowers in front of their homes and businesses by 10:00 a.m. on Sunday\, May 1st. GHCA would also like to encourage our community members to share their own GHCA May Day spirit by creating their own floral displays. In the past\, even the kids have gotten involved in making their own displays to add to the fun. Although this year we won’t be giving out prizes or bragging rights for the top arrangements\, we would like love to share your floral GHCA May Day arrangement with the community in our GHCA May Day Facebook post\, in our newsletter\, and on GermantownHomewood.com. If you plan to participate\, please send your name and address to ghca21401@gmail.com\, so we can get a photo of your arrangement and share the location for neighbors to come by to see your display. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate spring and beautify our community! If you would like to volunteer and run the May Day Germantown Homewood event next May\, please send us a note to ghca21401@gmail.com\, so we can plan and have a bigger event next year.
