SUMMARY:7th Annual GHCA Luminaria Dinner/Tailgate & Parade
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to the GHCA & Admiral Heights Neighborhood Halloween Parade & Trunk or Treat and the 7th Annual GHCA Luminaria Parade! It is a one-of-a-kind event only found in our little neck of the woods! We have partnered with Admiral Heights and AH/GH mom’s group this year to have some really fun activities for our little (and big) ghosts and goblins! The events will start by meeting at Studio 39 at 5 pm on Saturday\, October 28 and we’ll parade through the neighborhood. Kids\, adults\, pets\, and anyone with a costume are encouraged to attend. The parade route will be posted ahead of the event and neighbors are welcome to find a spot to watch. The Halloween Parade & Trunk or Treat will end back at the Studio 39 parking lot around 5:30. Food Truck Taqueria el Primo will be on hand with dinner items for sale and 10/10 Creations will have delicious Halloween Treats for sale from 5:00PM -8:00PM. The BYOB Dinner/Tailgate starts at 6:30PM. When it gets dark (approximately 7:45PM)\, the GHCA Luminaria Parade will start\, accompanied by the Naptown Brass Band\, to keep the Halloween celebrations going.  Join your neighbors for a fun evening at the Studio 39/Germantown Fields. DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Historic District will be celebrating their 68th Annual May Day celebration by putting baskets of fresh-cut flowers in front of their homes and businesses by 10:00 a.m. on Monday\, May 1st. GHCA would also like to encourage our community members to share their own GHCA May Day spirit by creating their own floral displays. In the past\, even the kids have gotten involved in making their own displays to add to the fun. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate spring and beautify our community! Here are some details: \nBring in Spring by displaying a beautiful basket of fresh flowers on your front door or doorstep for all your neighbors to enjoy!\n\nParticipation Guidelines:\n\n• All flower basket (any size) entries must be displayed on your front door or doorstep by Monday\, May 1st by 10am. The judges will tour the Homewood/Germantown neighborhood rain or shine.\n• Children under 12 can enter their own baskets.\n• A note card with name\, address\, and contact information must be attached to the basket. If entering for a child\, please specify age on card.\n• 1st and 2nd place winners will be chosen in the ADULT category.
